In London’s Hackney Downs, Material Works Architecture has transformed a once-constrained Victorian terrace into a contemporary, low-energy home centred on spatial generosity and daylight. At Hackney Bay House, the most significant intervention is the reshaping of the lower ground floor: by lowering the slab, the design introduces increased ceiling heights that shift the atmosphere from enclosed to expansive.  in the XII arrondissement of Paris, allows for a fresh perspective on the original architecture while preserving boundaries and zoning. Historically, the apartment features a separate guest area with a large dining table as the focal point of the composition. Historical architectural details and moldings have also been preserved in this area.
