Situated in the picturesque landscape of Durango, Colorado, "Lean-Three" designed by Colorado Architect Cavin Costello of The Ranch Mine was inspired by the straightforward design of lean-to structures. "Lean-Three" is a play on this concept and name, manifested in its three main volumes thoughtfully designed to provide comfort, functionality, and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape. skylodge

Designed to serve as a catalyst for a sustainable, densely planned residential village, Skylodge is a 5,500-square-foot event center built on a 10,000-acre ski mountain in Utah.  By using modular and prefabricated construction, the design and construction timeline for Skylodge were compressed into an impressive 5-month window. To pull off the quick creation, a series of modules, based on 100-square-foot triangles, were fitted with finishes, mechanical and electrical simultaneously and prepared on-site, resulting in a geometric layout with two rotundas, connected at the core resulting in dramatic mountain views at 8,900 feet elevation. CGC Custom Home

This very personal 5200 s.f. custom home was designed for a wooded 2.5 acre site with beautiful views of the Colorado front range for a couple with many unique lifestyle requests. After living for years in central London, they were looking forward to the prospect of enjoying their newly expansive open spaces and views, and yet concerned about maintaining the quaint, cozy comfortableness of their previous home. They requested a very modern, minimalist interior with both open and protected outdoor spaces. While they preferred flat-roof designs, the neighborhood design guidelines required pitched roofs and natural exterior materials, so the architects were challenged to design a home, within the guidelines, that had the modern i...
