Cascade Mountain Retreat
This retreat home is located in Tumble Creek at Suncadia, which is a gated mountain resort community on the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains about an hour and a half drive from Seattle. The area is heavily wooded, with the property set amongst native pine trees on a flat roughly half-acre site.

The 6,000-square-foot home captures a mountain modern aesthetic, defined by large interior spaces that flow from one to the other while the outside is rendered in semi-rustic materials borrowed from traditional mountain vernacular architecture. Lynx Drone Station
Architect Alina Sanina has developed Lynx, a conceptual drone station designed to support search-and-rescue operations and eco-tourism across remote mountain landscapes. The project imagines a new architectural typology where drones, visitors, and natural terrain operate within a shared high-altitude ecosystem.

COTTAGE AT LIPNO
The gently sloping land is situated in close proximity to the Lipno reservoir. The building’s placement on the plot is carefully chosen to ensure that the main living area provides a view of the water surface. The house’s form draws inspiration from the typology of traditional Šumava cottages. The black façade, made of burnt larch, contrasts with the light interior, which is entirely constructed from spruce bioboards.
