Villa JJ is located on a cliff on the shoreline of Stockholm's southern archipelago. The climate here can be harsh, nature is shaped by rain and storms as much as by sun and drought. The local building tradition is characterized by simple buildings, often gathered in clusters to provide protection for each other, such as fishermen's sheds or small farms. The houses were low, clad with wood boards, gray or almost white.

The Marbel City is located on Marbel Pier in Copenhagen Harbour. The properties are located on two islands surrounded by canals and harbour areas. They form a spatial hierarchy expressed in wings with towers.

The complex is laid out in relation to central urban spaces, daylight, and views of the harbour environment. The 259 homes are positioned so that they all benefit from the views of the harbour area and the canals. Attractive brick and timber surfaces form the framework for the development while creating gentle transitions between the terraces and the quay. Hertug is an elegant dining chair recognisable by the lines between the backlegs and backrest. It was originally drawn for Viken Møbelfabrikk in Bergen by Fredrik A. Kayser while he was a freelance designer. Kayser graduated from National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in 1945. He designed Hertug with a simple and organic form to make it fit into all kinds of interiors. The seat has a light and floating effect created by only touching the frame where necessary, while the backrest makes you see and feel true craftsmanship.

Era is an innovative chair with a modern material mix. It was showcased at the Association of Applied Arts´ autumn exhibition in the mid 1950´s. Sven Ivar Dysthe’s prototype in steel, wood and leather was honoured in the Norwegian magazine Bonytt as the exhibition´s most interesting product. Dysthe graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1954. He designed Era with organic wood and industrial steel, resulting in a versatile chair suited to a range of styles and settings. House Behind the Wall
It all started with our clients’ purchase of a house over a hundred years old. The traditional building with a gable roof was at its end. Its stone basement was still in a good condition so we decided to take down the rest of the house and use the stone socle in the basement as a foundation for the new house. Our courageous and somewhat risky plan worked out and today, the clients live in a beautiful, modern house which combines the historical soul of its predecessor and nordic esthetics with a touch of industrial style. What can we say? The road to success is not always an easy one but it’s worth it to put in a little extra effort.
