Spacial by IVYSTUDIO presents a unique vision for coworking
In a busy part of the Verdun neighbourhood of Montreal two separate spaces formerly used for a Jiu Jitsu gym and beauty salon have now become a coworking space for Spacial. Designed by IVYSTUDIO, the flexible working environment for a total of 120 people features different sizes of rentable offices and a variety of shared common areas.

While over 8,000 square feet in size, the building footprint previously had little access to natural light as windows are situated in the front façade only. A solution was found by adding new glass brick openings in the staircase wall, resulting in two different front sections. OMA’s singular building design for Tencent Headquarters challenges concepts of traditional office layout
Within an exceptionally large floorplan of 180 x 180 m, OMA have designed a square-shaped floating volume for Tencent’s new headquarters in Beijing.

Stretching out horizontally, thousands of employees are able to be accommodated over 7 stories. The large footprint is divided into 9 different quadrants, each with an independent core. A web of intersecting ‘streets’ connect the cores together, giving a feeling of hierarchy and legibility. The floorplan is further divided into subzones, with diverse programming types ranging from work to education to play. Visual connections between the zones gives a sense of activities taking place throughout the campus.

As the studio enters its teenage years of existence, it demanded a fun yet “architecturally charged” environment to conduct business. Moving out of a busy commercial surrounding to a quiet piece of land amidst blooming mustard fields hidden within the commotion, that is Delhi.It can be challenging to locate the studio; placed within the quaint boulevards lined with ficus foliage often hindering views to the randomly placed non-descriptive black gates. However, the gate has a “white” google pin for the curious eyes.
The visitor’s ingress on a bed of gravel guarded with trees on either side hiding the front lawn to the east. The gravel acts a porous surface which allows patches of reeds and grass to grow through... More
