Uzbekistan Pavilion - Expo 2025 Osaka
Sustainable architecture and inspiring exhibition design for Uzbekistan’s Pavilion at Expo 2025. "Designing Future Society for Our Lives" is the motto of the next World Expo, which will take place from 13 April to 13 October 2025 in Osaka, Japan. ATELIER BRÜCKNER is designing the Uzbekistan Pavilion and is responsible for the sustainable architecture and exhibition. "How to live in the future and how to be happy" is Uzbekistan’s interpretation of the Expo 2025’s motto. The two-storey pavilion (Fabricator: NÜSSLI) is realised from modular, reusable wooden elements, that can be rebuilt in Uzbekistan after the Expo – as a studio, workshop, or school. Portuguese Pavilion Proposal for Osaka 2025
The Portugal Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka has a direct reference to the floor of our oceans, whose topography is essential for the development of biodiversity. The image of the Portugal Pavilion therefore results from the composition of two elements: the topography - a cork-covered volume that houses the Pavilion's program - evoking underwater mountain ranges, and the overlapping canopy - a seaweed fiber fabric in constant movement by the wind, designed to generate a covered outdoor space.

Austrian Pavilion EXPO 2025 Osaka
The World Expo – “Expo 2025” – is held in Osaka from 13 April to 13 October 2025. BWM Designers & Architects, in collaboration with facts and fiction, won the two-stage realisation competition for the design of the Austrian pavilion. The concept is a musical interpretation of the Expo’s motto – „Designing Future Society for Our Lives“. The idea is that, in Austria, the future is not „designed“, but rather composed: „Austria. Composing the Future“.The Austria Pavilion comprises two main elements: the monumental spiral sculpture in the forecourt and the functional pavilion building housing the exhibition space, behind the spiral.
