Innovative sustainability solutions are often born from the most evident ideas. It was also the case with Sziget Festival’s Colosseum – a party stage reminiscent of ancient amphitheaters – which for the first time was built in 2012 – and made of pallets. Hello Wood, an internationally renowned architectural firm, was inspired by the pallets lying around the Sziget Festival to create the Colosseum using this unusual material. On the Beach of The Hague in The Netherlands, Scheveningen Beach, Bloot Architecture in collaboration with Architectenbureau Filip Mens designed a brand new sports Pavilion. The building is a temporarily structure that will be disassembled at the end of the summer season and than build up again in the spring. A second façade of wooden pallets give the building a warm and beachy ambiance and also emphasizes the relation between open and closed. More

The Urban Spa was created exploring the thematic and symbols found on the streets. This is a business model for the young entrepreneur, between 25 to 40 years, which corresponds to 35% of the growth of companies in Brazil. The idea is to have a space that provides a new look and contemporary tools of wellness & wellbeing to help these new entrepreneurs to better cope with their stressful work demand. In this project, the Luxury found in most spas gives room to a more stripped and irreverent kind of spa.
