Parish hall St. Elisabeth Ulm

Around 100 years after the foundation stone of St. Elisabeth Church was laid, the inauguration of the associated parish community centre takes place—named after Pope John XXIII, Angelo Guiseppe Roncalli, who, despite his old age, began to break new ground and courageously renew the Catholic Church. The name Roncalli seems a perfect match for the new “house in the middle of the world”, as Dean Ulrich Kloos calls it, because it stands for dynamism, awakening and a way of thinking that was far ahead of its time in many areas. Transformation Parish Centre

The building of the parish property is a former farmhouse, consisting of living and economy part of the 19th century. It stands with its eastern façade directly on the historic walls of the church and therefore provides optimum conditions, to complement the church area as a parish center. The program includes a 90 m2 large parish hall with kitchen and storage room, a meeting room, locations for the youth, offices and an apartment.   A hall of this size requires a large intrusion into the structure of the building.
