Almaty Theatre

Almaty Theatre is a multifunctional cultural complex located in the southern part of Almaty, Kazakhstan, against the foothill landscape of the Trans-Ili Alatau. Completed in 2022, the 13,990 m² building was designed by Basire Design as a place where architecture, performance, education and public life come together within a single spatial system. Geneva Car Barn & Powerhouse

Originally the home of San Francisco’s first electric railway, the Geneva Car Barn & Powerhouse is the one of the last physical reminders of that historic transit system. Now owned by the City’s Recreation and Parks Department, the historic building is being transformed into a cultural and educational community center. Phase One is a 300-person event space; future phases for two-building complex will include classrooms and a black box theater for youth arts education. The Kari Campus in Rauma gathers several important public institutions and amenities under one roof. It consists of swimming and sports halls, a comprehensive school, a music school, an adult education centre and a youth centre. Being together creates significant synergy and savings.
