Estudio MMX interweaves open spaces throughout porous pigmented concrete villa

A sequence of open spaces with a gradual degree of intimacy allow residents to move gently from the public street-facing spaces to the private backyard. Rafael Gamo Estudio MMX translated the client's wishes for a garden, terraces and a central patio into a playful dialogue between built and open spaces. Rafael Gamo The architects implemented a 3x3x3 grid and distributed ten volumes organized around a central patio. Two units are interwoven that can be used separately. The compact porous massing creates ideal sunlight conditions without compromising privacy.
