The Communicative Wall
After changing the outer wall of the Dalnim Senior Citizen Center into a curved wall, a bench was placed. Unlike conventional flat walls, curved walls can avoid monotony and keep the passerby's gaze. By placing benches on curved walls, it also becomes a shelter for all residents who pass by. A senior citizen center refers to a house or room prepared for the elderly to gather and enjoy leisure. As such, although it is originally a space for the elderly, it creates natural contact with residents who stay on the bench to form a community throughout the village.

MJA Studio reinstates a neglected Local corner site into a vibrant community space
Australian suburbs corner stores have long been communal spaces than mere public utilities; they not only encourage walkability but also offer the residents a place to interact and socialise. With the overtaking of commercial supermarket chains and petrol stations, the neighbourhood lost its zestful character as a public space. Therefore, to revitalise this neglected corner site, a passionate local of Mt Lawley collaborated with MJA Studio to design a mixed-use project to enrich the area.

Sarang Nest House by RAW Architecture dynamically responds to West Jakarta City surroundings
Situated in a residential neighborhood of West Jakarta City, the Sarang Nest House by RAW Architecture is a dynamic reaction to its environment. Positioned at the hook of a street, the building faces west and south with protruding stories oriented at different angles. The overall volume of the house is enclosed by a perforated wall of red brick and a metal screen design that buffers the heat while lending a textured, industrial appearance to the exterior.
