HamHayatt Residential Complex

Architectural Theory: Spatial Authenticity, Spatial Autonomy This theory advocates for the authenticity of each space, preserving its purity along with its unique characteristics. Each space, based on its function, possesses distinct attributes in terms of proportions, form, materials, openings, color, and more, both internally and externally. These features remain intact even in juxtaposition with other spaces. The theory is based on a reinterpretation of Iranian architecture, allowing the project to adapt to its context in all aspects, including architectural identity, culture, history, climate, neighborhood relations, and sustainability. Park Residence

Park Residence is a residential building located in the heart of Sofia, between the vibrant city center and the serene expanse of Holy Trinity Park. This prime location brought a unique set of challenges for the architectural team: designing a building that is both visually engaging and functionally efficient, integrating the building into the urban environment, and fostering a harmonious connection with the park. A key challenge for the architects at IPA was the complexity of the site. Situated in a bustling, high-traffic neighborhood, the project needed to strike a balance between the dynamic urban environment and the residents’ need for privacy and comfort. The building's close proximity to Holy Trinity Park required a sensitive d... More

Il Parco dei Gelsi

"Il Parco dei Gelsi" is a residential complex funded by private investors that was born from the desire (which we share with the clients) to create a housing area with a low environmental impact. Andrea Ceriani Andrea Ceriani The project consists of nine apartments of different sizes, each of which has a privileged relationship with the outside thanks to the gardens and the large balconies. The project is based on the principles of bio-architecture with the aim of paying attention to harmony and balance. The basement, where the garages and technical rooms are located, will be built using traditional technologies based mainly on the use of reinforced concrete. Beroaldo ERP social housing

The project involves the redevelopment of an entire urban block of social housing built in the 1950s. The degradation was irrecoverable, so it was decided to completely demolish it. It consisted of three four-story buildings oriented on the heliocentric axis and placed about 12 meters apart from each other. There was no urban design, only compliance with building hygiene requirements. Fabio Mantovani The project aimed to reconstitute a community of residents who could identify with belonging to a recognizable place beyond ethnic origins. The new buildings protect a large central space on which all the living rooms of the apartments face, creating a continuous interplay between private enclosed space and public open space, mediated by... Paakat Residence

Not long ago, there were gated dead ends (Sibe), surrounded by houses that accommodated relatives. Not long ago, there were enclosed courtyards, surrounded by rooms, housing a family. These Sibe (semi-public urban spaces) and courtyards (semi-private spaces) used to gift us the "sky" as soon as we stepped out of the house. Today, however, these families, households, or individuals live in different parts of the city, country, or even the world. Where? In apartments. Apartments, that upon stepping out of them, only reveal a closed space and a depressing environment. Apartments with low ceilings and an elevator. So where is the shared sky that belongs to us all... The mysterious blue umbrella... In the "Paakat" project, we presented the "sky"... More

Metronome, the first Moscow quarter by Brusnika

In 2023 Brusnika launched its first construction project in Moscow - the Metronome Quarter. The brief for the pilot development was to design a diverse multifunctional urban space merging with a natural environment. Here’s the project in focus. Located in the Eastern Moscow administrative district, the Metronome quarter lies between Tagilskaya Street and the 1st Irtyshsky Drive. The plot belongs to Medgorodok, the largest Moscow district measuring 2757 hectares, dominated by the national park Losiny Ostrov (Elk Island). The first stone buildings sprung here following the launch of the Belt Railway in 1908. Later, a bridge across the railway and narrow-gauge tram tracks linked the park to the city, making it accessible for Muscovites.... More

Vila Solarium

Located on the outskirts of Bragança Paulista, in the interior of São Paulo State, is the land destined for a project of a multifamily residential complex at an affordable cost. The site has a slope and the presence of natural rocks that limit occupation. Studio Gui Uemura Studio Gui Uemura Studio Gui Uemura In the face of this context, the great challenge was to define the implantation related to the site topography and explore the views of the natural landscape. Therefore, we proposed 12 units whose implantation does not follow the traditional twinned configuration. Instead, we have independent houses on different levels.  Studio Gui Uemura Studio Gui Uemura Studio Gui Uemura The houses h... More

Pools & Apartments Oostende

The swimming pool Brigitte Becue is the new sports and recreational attraction in Oostende. By combining a large public swimming pool and 22 apartments in one building, the building blends perfectly into the existing urban context. At the same time, the building fits in with the green surroundings of the neighbouring golf course and the coastal strip. The apartments, housed in two separate volumes on top of the aquatic centre, contribute to the recognizability of the complex. Klaas Verdru The building presents itself differently on all sides.  On the urban side, the Northlaan, the building is open and inviting. Northern European architecture in Novosibirsk

Hugging one of the Ob river banks, the European Riverfront is a large-scale comprehensive area development project in Novosibirsk. It aims to restore the once-lost urban connection with the river and create an attractive cityscape from the river vantage point. The idea saw its realisation in 2016 in the KCAP Architects masterplan, further developed by Brusnika. So far, the housing estate comprises 30 houses.  Mecanoo Mecanoo The masterplan presents the riverine area of the European Riverfront as several clusters of blocks of flats and towers linked by civic spaces, made up of several squares varying in character, featuring inner streets and a pedestrian promenade along the riverbank. QIAN Residential Complex

One of the hallmarks of the QIAN project, and what makes it so special, is its proximity to Majadahonda, on the outskirts of Madrid. Another approach that's been taken into account is making the most of the plot – being on a slope, it favors views and sunlight. The homes also enjoy ample outdoor spaces that integrate the homes with their natural surrounding. Juan Sancho The location is the most valuable aspect to this project, both from a close view as well as its exceptional territorial structure in the Majadahonda district of Madrid. The proposed solution is in dialogue with its surroundings to achieve spaces that attract potential clients, taking full advantage of the possibilities provided by the regulations and with a bala...
