Situated in the bustling central fabric of Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, this residence is shaped as much by its constraints as by its aspirations. The project occupies an inherited shell marked by tilted walls, intrusive columns, and an irregular spatial grid that unapologetically intrudes into everyday spaces. With no scope for major civil alterations, the project explores how spatial clarity, furniture-led planning, and material continuity can be employed to negotiate the shortcomings of an unevenly planned structure.

Our client had recently moved into this beautiful mid terrace 2 bedroom house in Stoneybatter, Dublin 7 and she really wanted to inject her own personality into it.

The major challenge with this home was space, we had to come up with clever ways to optimise the small space without comprimising on design. The client wasn’t afraid to go for bold design choices which resulted in a creative and functional home.
