The Quiet Concrete Gallery

When we were approached to design the exclusive display center for The Nuance Studio — a brand redefining concrete in India — we knew this wouldn’t be a typical retail project. The brief was clear: create a space that doesn’t just display concrete panels, but celebrates them — emotionally, spatially, and architecturally. noaidwin sttudio noaidwin sttudio Set within a bustling South Mumbai complex, the site presented its own challenge: a dual-slot linear unit that needed to house over 20 large-format panels without feeling like a catalogue. Etna Pastificio

Montreal based Studio MHA, has converted the former restaurant Etna, into the pasta shop Etna Pasticio.  The pasta shop, formerly in a nearby location, was relocated to the 700 sq.ft. space of the owners’ former restaurant, on a main street of the Villeray neighborhood in Montreal.  For the design, the clients turned to Michael Hall of Studio MHA, who had worked with them previously on the restaurant Etna. Phil Bernard The young owners of the pasta shop, wanted a simple space, bathed in natural light, where clients would happily shop and dine; while in the open kitchen space, it would be a delight for the employees to make pasta.  In response, rather than pushing the kitchen to the back of the space, the designer... Voga Di Sopra

The project connects the existing space on street level to the intimate and domestic atmospheres of the upper floor. The sequence ofrooms reveals a common underlying matrix, without however affecting the well-defined character of each one of them. Omar Golli The new space, accessible both by elevator and spiral staircase, is identified by the typical atmosphere of the old town residencies, with high ceilings and casement windows. From the very beginning, the client’s brief was to maintain the residential feel, exploring theexpressive potential of the "apartment" type vs the contemporary idea of retail.Starting from this premise, the concept seeks to shift spaces, objects and furnishings from their traditional domestic vocation, o...
