Stone Fountain
The project originated from a practical yet increasingly urgent need: to collect, slow down and infiltrate rainwater from a courtyard at the heart of an architectural renovation. The existing levels did not allow water to drain effectively towards the street. What was initially conceived as a simple drainage device was therefore transformed into an architectural and poetic element.

NOBLE House draws on concepts of borrowed scenery to create a unique interior concept
In Yamagata, Japan, APOLLO Architects and Associates designed the NOBLE house for a pediatrician and his family. Massive in its appearance, the interior is conversely light and resort-like in its character, drawing on the idea of ‘borrowed scenery’ by including views of a rock garden on the adjacent property, where the client’s parents live.

Located in a heavy snowfall region, the massive concrete façade utilizes exterior insulation to ensure a comfortable interior temperature even in mid-winter while a brise-soleil and insulated wood-framed windows further respond to the snowy environment.

G Residence
The project called for an addition and “re mapping“ of an existing 1960 residence on the upper bench of Salt Lake City. The design started with the landscape which grew out of the client’s art collection. The garden was organized around the idea of journey and repose. The end of the journey are two bronze elephants which are situated on a stainless-steel gabion filled with recycle glass and lite from below. The garden is only accessible from the house through the kitchen.
