Athron Hill Phase 1
Athron Hill is a housing development constructed on a brown-field site in the foothills of the Ochil hills, snuggled into a sheltering woodland and afforded majestic views over Loch Leven, the Lomond Hills and the Pentlands to the south. This unique setting was once home to a tuberculosis sanatorium, which took advantage of the fresh air and sunshine found on the hills. It had stood empty since the late 1980’s and was demolished back in 2003.

Camhanaich
Camhanaich is located in the agricultural area of Cushnie, in rural Aberdeenshire. The design brief was to design a home for our client to retire, and to enjoy independent living later in life. The Design was contextually driven from the building forms and material seen in this the area. The result is a single story house which embeds itself within the natural topography of the picturesque landscape by which it is surrounded. Camhanaich has been carefully designed in a staggered H-plan. The Northerly living section of the house provides a vaulted open plan living, dining, and kitchen space with large glazed elements to enjoy the views and maximise afternoon and evening sunlight.
