Ernest E. Tschannen Science Complex
The 96,631-square-foot Ernest E. Tschannen Science Complex at California State University, Sacramento (Sac State), designed by Los Angeles-based CO Architects, serves as an educational and cultural hub for students, faculty, visitors, and the greater Sacramento community. The new five-story, $91.5-million building features a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient, light-filled science facility providing teaching and research laboratories for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. According to the university, the facility is designed as a space for students to investigate solutions for climate change, healthy aging, and many other worldwide challenges.

LightBOX at Winn Park takes the concept of the traditional town square and transforms it into the idea of the neighborhood squares, where everyday activities can create a new hub for social life. Each square gives a variety of program to the neighborhood and can act as the neighborhood ‘living room’ where movies, plays, weddings, farmers markets, art events, festivals, and holiday events can play out. The once underutilized fire alarm service building at the center of the park is revitalized into a public amenity with a beacon placed over it to act as the focal point for these neighborhood activities. Stones Gambling Hall
Stones is a 25,450 square foot gambling hall, restaurant, and bar – in essence a boutique casino. The building is an expansion and total renovation of a former Salvation Army warehouse that had been vacant for years, and is the first project of this kind to combine and relocate two existing card room licenses under one roof. Citrus Heights is a small city sixteen miles east of Sacramento - within California’s Central Valley.
The owner is a California real estate developer, and this is their first gaming project.
