Salon architects

Elephant & Castle is a two-level hair salon in the center of Athens, conceived as an urban interior landscape with references to the materiality of a public space in the city. Housed within a typical Athenian shell, the interior is transformed into an environment of care and formal repetition. Margarita Yoko NIkitaki Margarita Yoko NIkitaki Margarita Yoko NIkitaki Trail Practice’s aim was to integrate the space into its existing context, not through mimicry but by setting the new in dialogue with the old.
