ELEPHANT & CASTLE

Elephant & Castle is a two-level hair salon in the center of Athens, conceived as an urban interior landscape with references to the materiality of a public space in the city. Housed within a typical Athenian shell, the interior is transformed into an environment of care and formal repetition. Margarita Yoko NIkitaki Margarita Yoko NIkitaki Margarita Yoko NIkitaki Trail Practice’s aim was to integrate the space into its existing context, not through mimicry but by setting the new in dialogue with the old. Salon Olivine

A place for relaxation and rejuvenation, Salon Olivine provides luxury hair and beauty experiences that help guests look and feel their best. For their recent interior fitout, Chandra Laine Design Inc. sought to create a space that actively promotes inclusive and restorative self-care through an aesthetic reflective of ethos. With an abundance of daylight from the salon’s generous ceiling height windows revealing the interior architecture’s clean lines, warm natural materials, and quiet luxurious finishes—the design team needed quality luminaires that would complement the aesthetic, while supporting the salon’s functional performance.
