Tangerine House
Planned for a couple of young doctors, Tangerine House is a 220 m2 residence lodged in an elongated and narrow plot, surrounded by neighbors, in the Alto da Lapa neighborhood in São Paulo, Brazil. The aim was to design ample and permeable integrated spaces, offering a contemporary approach to urban living.
Firstly, the columns were moved to the lateral limits of the plot, allowing for a free open plan throughout its length. In collaboration with a calculist engineer: beams, hydraulic systems and other infrastructure elements were also shifted to the perimeter of the structure, preserving the visual purity of the apparent concrete slab.

Located in the countryside of São Paulo, this residence was conceived as a contemporary retreat that seeks a balance between the generosity of social spaces and rigorous bioclimatic performance. The project emerges from the convergence between the programmatic desires of the residents and the investigative methodology of Studio Marchesin Arquitetos Associados, applied through its innovation branch: Marchesin Design Lab.

Praça Apartment
Located in a building designed by Artacho Jurado in the Vila Buarque neighborhood, the Praça Apartment was designed for a young architect who chose to move to the center of São Paulo.
The 70m² apartment underwent a comprehensive renovation aimed at maximizing the integration between spaces. Except for the walls that enclose the bathroom, all other partitions were demolished, creating a large open and multifunctional environment. The new layout of the apartment introduced flexibility and the overlapping of uses and functions (cooking, working, sleeping, and socializing), in line with the laid-back lifestyle of the resident, who is also a co-author of the project.
