CY! Education Workshop

CY! Education Workshop is an educational space located within an office building. The design follows a light construction principle, aiming to create an open and free learning atmosphere. The overall layout is rectangular, with the elevator lobby located centrally on the south side and city green space visible from the north-facing windows. MIA Design Studio crafts the Ashui Pavilion using scaffolding and flowing white drapes in Vietnam

Vietnam’s Ashui Awards return this year with a brand-new pavilion designed by MIA Design Studio, located along the Saigon River in Ho Chi Minh City. M Pavilion is located in the lobby of an office building in Xuhui District, Shanghai, a coffee shop design commissioned by the Chinese famous coffee brand M Stand. In order not to disturb the daily operations of the building, we proposed two strategies at the beginning of the design process: a rapid construction and a light touch to the site. Sava Activities is an on-going public urban design project aiming to reintroduce the riverbanks of Zagreb’s Sava River to the daily life of the city. Initiated as a competition proposal in 2015, the project had been developed around the flood related characteristics of the river. Unlike the other European capitals which are established around a river, Zagreb’s urban growth had been formed with a tendency to move away from Sava. Hansen House is a historic hospital that cared for people with leprosy, established in Jerusalem in 1887. Nowadays it is transformed into a design, media and technology cultural center and is the home of the Jerusalem Design Week, which is now in its 8th edition. The structure is under strict preservation regulations and it can only undergo minor changes. HQ Architects undertook the challenge to design a temporary intervention for the historic building.
