Weekend House in the Woods
The house was designed for a couple seeking a weekend get-away in the woods to balance their busy everyday lives in the Czech capital. The site is located near Žloukovice village in a protected landscape area Křivoklátsko. Decades ago, a community of „tramps“, young people influenced by E. T. Seton’s woodcraft movement, used to build small cabins in the local woods. A row of such cabins formed a small settlement the middle of a large forest near Žloukovice . The plot situated in this settlement was exactly what the clients had been searching for.

The table ITO surprises with its simplicity. The steel frame, consisting of two crossed legs connected by steel tubes, forms a stable structure upon which the worktop can be simply placed. The worktop is carried by the frame on height-adjustable rubber buffers. The supporting frame can be further supplemented with additional crossed legs and tubular steel connectors to extend the table length according to need. The material and dimensions of the worktop can be freely determined by the user. The Lej coffee table stands out with its lightness and elegance. Two tinted glass plates are stacked, showing off the detailed base. Three identical, black lacquered pipes, fixed into a sturdy structure, hold the glass plates gracefully. The design combines modernity and subtle elegance.

Atelierhaus Bobingen
At the end of a long driveway in Bobingen stands the green atelier house. Well embedded among a highly heterogeneous existing building stock, it forms the center of the property. In direct proximity are the residential houses of the builder's family members, garages, and the listed Kosimosinian castle — the oldest secular building in Bobingen. The client, an artist, wished for an atelier at the place of her childhood. The result is an 18-meter-long, single-story new building that resembles a barn. Even with this creation, the Swiss design label MOX has remained true to his longtime slogan „keep it simple!“. MOX has done it again even with SAM: reduction of the needed material, maximization of the functionality.
