Bundy Drive

Simon Berlyn   Design for Resort Style Living Our three-acre Bundy Drive project, completed in collaboration with Ramtin Ray Nosrati at Huntington Estates Properties, is certainly brimming with entertainment and the desirable amenities that bring resort living home. All this requires a large house, so our design goal, once again, is to maintain a human connection despite a broad canvas. We create visual connections between multiple levels, and even across large volumes, so people won’t find themselves cut off in a dark hallway. Simon Berlyn Simon Berlyn By creating view corridors, we assure that when you come around a corner there is something to draw you in, always a window with a view, a piece of art o... More

Retractable Walls

Retractable walls, manufactured & designed by Roll-A-Cover, open indoor patios to the outdoors in moments by simply sliding. Instead of a conventional fixed room with fixed walls, retractable glass walls give the indoor space an outdoor ambiance even when the wall is closed. Unlike a bi-fold door, the bays of this sliding wall retract into one another so there is no loss of space inside.  More

NanaWall PrivaSEE™ frameless and operable glazed partitions

NanaWall Systems introduces the patent-pending NanaWall PrivaSEE™, a frameless, operable all glass wall system that provides better sound buffering than most fixed glass partitions. With no floor track, PrivaSEE is the industry’s only all glass single track sliding system specifically engineered for enhanced acoustical separation, allowing architects and designers to control sound transparently. “The NanaWall PrivaSEE is a moving all glass wall with a sound rating that has historically been limited to fixed all glass partitions,” said NanaWall Systems CEO Ebrahim Nana. “The fact that we are able to achieve such a high sound rating without a floor track makes PrivaSEE all the more incredible.” Caption... Benedict Canyon

Our client, C.J. Wilson, who was a Major League Baseball pitcher, wanted an open-plan house for hosting guests, a large flat lawn for ballplay, and a photography studio along with a gallery space suitable for hanging his large art projects.  William MacCollum   The hilltop site required a 10-foot high retaining wall to create a sturdy level pad for building our client’s vision. William MacCollum A spiral driveway leads to the property, which then opens to the car park and entrance walkway. Laurel Way

William MacCollum One aesthetic idea driving the creation of Laurel Way was that each room or space should be a jewel box, an individually conceived, precisely functional and dramatic sensory experience with its own depth of architecture. Central to the composition are many of Marc Whipple’s signature elements, one being the use of texture; smooth next to rough stone, rich wooden panels against glass, and glass reflecting water. The immediate experience upon entering the house is its inherent weightlessness – the sense that the walls appear to float as panels and you are always connected to the outdoors. This is achieved with adherence to precise symmetry of beams, support panels, tiles, and sightlines, and also th... More

Single Track Sliding Glass Walls

The NanaWall Single Track Sliding Glass Wall offers unique design options far beyond those of a multi-track sliding door system. Unlimited spans of individual top-hung or bottom supported panels glide open or closed – all riding within a single narrow header over a single floor track (or no floor track). The single track design produces a clean sweep of panels that easily navigate multiple angle changes up to 90 degrees and may be stacked virtually anywhere.A NanaWall single track end-to-end closure means secure, rattle and draft free weather protection in the most demanding environments. Total Design and Layout Flexibility go where no other operable glass wall has gone before—take it around multiple corners, through wide segmented curves,... More
