Bindloss Dawes bring light and volume to a remodeled Chelsea mews house

In London’s upmarket Chelsea neighborhood, British architectural studio Bindloss Dawes has completed the remodeling of a compact mews house. The home’s original dark and cramped spaces have been replaced and revitalized with light and volume introduced throughout its interior. La Mini

Architects Francesca Morsiani and Mujgan Merve Rinaldi designed La Mini with a proposed location in Nevsehir, Turkey surrounded by mountains. The rectangular structure is clad in dark brown vertical panels interspersed with floor-to-ceiling windows for a sleek, minimalist exterior. _UVISUAL The design idea was to create a small, efficient and welcoming house. In an area of about 45sqm, it contains minimum living requirements: a bedroom, bathroom and the living/dining/kitchen area as a single space. Boathouse

Located in the San Juan Islands, the Boathouse stands foremost as a threshold between water and land, an idea it embraces literally by providing upland access to those arriving by boat or seaplane, and figuratively through its location and form. It straddles the elements, providing an entryway as well as a dramatic spot for a morning cup of coffee or a crab boil with the extended family.
