This 46-storey tower in the heart of the City of London offers a unique and highly practical solution to the challenges posed by building within the area's dense urban fabric.The scheme comprises two distinct elements: a pod form at the base of the building creates a new home for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, while the tower rising above it offers private residential accommodation. The rounded form of the theatre school articulates the functional and acoustic requirements of the major performance spaces housed within and offers the most efficient enclosure for the required range of uses.
