BLANCO RIBERA ® limestone

www.areniscas.com   Also known as the caliza del Páramo (limestone of the moors), this carbonated rock with vuggy texture and a greyish-white colouring is currently obtained from a quarry in the province of Valladolid. The small cavities that result from the dissolution of the calcium carbonate give this material a coarse appearance and highlight the different surface finishes it accepts. Its presence in numerous historical monuments in Spain prove that this limestone has a long history of ornamental rock used for construction purposes.    FORMATS - TILES Sizes: 60x40; 60x30; 80x40; 100x50 (from thicknesse = 3 cm.); VARYING SIZES Thickness: 2, 3, 4 y 5 cm. Finishes: Sawn cut. Honed. Polished. Bush hammered (f... More

CREMA PINAR ® limestone

www.areniscas.com   It is classified as a non-recrystallised calcareous dolomite with a saccharoid texture and a beige colouring with occasional orange veining. It comes from the basal layers of the Cretaceous period (Maastrichtian). The material is obtained from a quarry in southern Burgos, where the slight gradient of the layers facilitates its mining. The Crema Pinar limestone has been used since the very early days of construction. The most important structure built with this type of sandstone is the monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos.   FORMATS - TILES Sizes: 60x40; 60x30; 80x40; 100x50 (from thickness e = 3 cm.) VARYING SIZES Thickness: 2, 3, 4 and 5 cm. Finishes: Sawn cut. Honed. Bush hammered (from thickness =... More

GRIS PINAR ® sandstone

www.areniscas.com/ Project Gris Pinar   Gris Pinar sandstone is grey, and petrographically it is a medium grain sandstone which has quartz and feldspars as its main components. The material is obtained from a quarry in Barcelona, from where it is shipped to the cutting workshop for its treatment. The layout of the strata in large banks allows large blocks of high tonnage to be obtained. These blocks are then prepared into different sizes and surface finishes.   FORMATS   - TILES Sizes: 60x40; 60x30; 80x40. 100x50 VARYING SIZES Thickness: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 cm. Finishes: Sawn cut. Bush hammered (from thickness = 3 cm.). Hand stripped (from thickness = 3 cm.). Pitched face. Honed. - ASHLARS Thickness: fr... More

DORADA de los PINARES ® sandstone

www.areniscas.com   Red-cream sandstone with brown-wooden veining with varying intensity as a function of the iron content in the rock.   Its grain is medium-thick and its composition is mainly quartzitic with minimum amounts of micas (muscovite and biotite) and opaque minerals. This rock is easily cut and is very beautiful. A series of sediment levels from the early cretaceous period from the Pinares region (Burgos) can be found. In the company workshop, the blocks are cut into different sizes with a wide range of surface finishes such as sawn cut, bushhammered, pitch-faced, etc.   FORMATS   TILES Sizes: 60x40; 60x30; 80x40 (from thickness e = 3 cm.). 100x50 (from thickness e = 3 cm.) DORADA URBION ® sandstone

www.areniscas.com   It is a variegated light beige sandstone of medium grain where quartz is predominant. There are also small amounts of micas that provide tiny shiny points to the cut surface, as well as oxide-hydroxides that create small veins and give rise to several subvarieties. The rock is extracted at a sandstone level that is interspersed with both clayey and conglomeratic.   It is obtained from a quarry within the municipality of Vilviestre del Pinar, in the province of Burgos, where there are an estimated 500,000 m³. The raw materials are elaborated in this same municipality, so ashlars and cladding are prepared with finishes such as sawn cut, honed, bush hammered, pitch-faced, antique and sandblasted. It is a... BEIGE PINAR ® sandstone

www.areniscas.com Homogenous, beige-coloured fine grain sandstone obtained in the province of Teruel. Petrographically, it is classified as a litharenite. Its composition includes mainly calcite, quartz, dolomite and feldspar. These components are linked by means of a carbonated matrix that ensures strong cohesion and high compaction. The faces of the quarry are more than 6 metres high, so large square blocks can be obtained. The uniformity of this sandstone makes it an ideal material for use in large facades and modern architecture projects.   FORMATS - TILES Sizes: 60x40; 60x30; 80x40. 100x50 Despiece Thickness: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 y 10 cm. Finishes: Al corte. Aburjardado (a partir de e = 4 cm.). Apiconado (a partir de e... More
