Vadi Park Deluxe is a boutique hotel project under construction in the Aydınpınar region of Düzce province, which has the most important natural assets among Turkey's natural beauties. Aydınpınar is a region with natural spring water and waterfalls. The project offers a magnificent view in the center of all these beauties, intertwined with nature and with the natural stream around it. Visiting the island repeatedly in the process of looking for the right plot of land we were impressed by traditional stone houses in cities and the countryside of Mallorca. 'Pedra en sec' is a very simple and inexpensive local dry stone construction technique and it has been used here since prehistoric times. In 2018, it was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Learning from local architecture, the house re-uses its traditional elements in contemporary typology and incorporates them along with a simple energy efficiency concept based on natural ventilation and heat accumulating properties of its massive walls. Located in Siete Aguas (Valencia), this house with straight and simple lines seeks to stand out from the surrounding buildings, with a marked rustic style, respecting the use of natural materials such as stone or wood. The volumes harmonize with each other, forming an 'L' on the ground floor that adopts a certain dynamism on the upper floor through the overhangs and setbacks generated. The facade, predominantly white and pure, is combined with the masonry and the wooden carpentry to generate spaces full of luminosity and purity that nevertheless preserve a certain warmth. Rincón Del Pescador House develops around a central courtyard following the traditional houses of the region as a reference. Halls and passageways delimit the project: a horizontal perimetric that links the main floor areas, and a single point vertical that connects the different levels in the plan. The chosen materials (locally sourced volcanic stone) enhance the house's main lower level areas, providing fresh spaces to rest during the day.   The project is closed to the south, and open towards itself and the northern view of the valley. Casa Forbes is a single house that looks boldly on a hillside of Costa d'en Blanes with views over the entire Bay of Palma. In the way in which the hanging gardens of Babylon built a domesticated natural environment, the Casa Forbes provides the necessary horizontality in this seemingly impossible terrain.The outer enclosure of oblique steel slats cut kinetically sieves the landscape as you approach its entrance. In the design of the Imperial American Chain Restaurants in Alabama, USA, the CAS team manages to capture that elusive slice-of-life-Americana vibe in a concise, straightforward exterior design. The main objective was to restore the original building and adapting it for modern use according to the context of restaurant design. The CAS team tackled this challenge by designing the three requisite restaurants in the lobby, so there would be leeway for outside seating areas as well. Granted Planning Consent in March 2012, this refurbishment and extension of an existing 45,000sqft office building in the City of London delivers 63,000sqft of prime office space. Located at a prestigious address close to St Paul’s Cathedral, the existing brick clad building was built in the mid-1980s and offered opportunities to increase area within the site footprint and St Paul’s view corridors. Our proposals took the building back to the existing concrete frame and created a new façade using Portland stone and a powder-coated aluminium curtain wall and rainscreen, incorporating an additional floor. Casa es Carnatge is a single house located in front of the abandoned stone quarries of Son Mosson at the Palma Bay, from which draws its materiality and formal logic. Through a doble stoneskin facade we abstract inhabiting of the noise pollution from the neighboring airport and search into the Marés a way of being. The constructive approach of Casa es Carnatge looks for the essential, reducing the number of materials participating at the equation and searching the top expressive state of each one, in such a way the matter austerity results in formal wealth.
