House C—VL renovation reveals the charm and original architecture of a 1960s bungalow
Situated on a deep and narrow lot, the house appeared in its existing state to be uninspiring but began to reveal some interesting elements. Stripped to essentials, the floor plan revealed the basic shape of one and a half squares By mirroring this shape, you get three squares, with a fireplace in the centre, giving the architects, Graux & Bayens, a central organizing feature to work with.

House Pautz is a modern and elegant residence designed by Blunt Architects, that is situated in the Bronberg Nature Reserve in Pretoria. The proud owners of this fine residence, are Derick and Sönke Pautz - a young and dynamic couple who are both actively involved in the Property Development Industry. The couple bought this 570 m² stand in 2013, excited and inspired to start the developing process of their own dream home. The building parameters of the Business Center focus on the creation of a new building to support the Industrial Park activities. Its architectural character develops the combination of diverse perspectives and factors. Its materialization manifests itself in the design of the façade, in the relation of the spaces of the building and in the metaphorical presence of the "natural" elements of topography, the large green area and the variations of the light. The established relations are not static, but rather dynamic. We intend to establish relationships that are open, flexible, mutant and adapt to the life and use of the building and exterior spaces.
