Pied-à-terre Keizersgracht

This Pied-à-terre apartment had to contain a multifunctional room in the middle that is at once part of the living room, a study and a guest room. It’s a very deep space which has the unique feature of having windows on three sides, but not a lot of them. It also has the entrance all the way at the back-corner.  Caption As the position of the entrance made it necessary to make a pretty long hallway, we made a couple of interventions to alleviate the longitudinal space. First of all we treated the division between the hallway and the rooms behind it as an architectural object. It is materialized as a furniture piece, differently from the outer shell of the apartment, thus emphasizing the apartment as one hole. We also... More

Serfimex

This corporate interior design project is the result of the renovation of a 1,000 sq m floor plan located west of Mexico City, in an area where offices still have a strong presence. An elegant and tempered corporate image was turned into the goal to create the correct environment for the operation of this financial company.   The reception, beyond being the first filter, is the meeting point for colleagues and where visitors are welcome. Black granite was selected for the floors that ends in wavy weft covered with timber adding a warm and dynamic contrast, that is broken by the monolithic presence of the reception covered in white Carrara marble.    The space distribution was defined considering two routes, one for the st... It is a very ludic, fun and functional space.   The corridor connects the school´s 5 workshops. Powerlab is where children with learning problems work with different therapists. A flexible and functional design was the goal for the remodeling project for this primary school classrooms. Furthermore, creating a learning and wellbeing space for students and teachers, we pursued the vitality of the space to be easily reconfigured and adapted for all the activities to stimulate interaction and team work, favoring group study in order to erase the traditional methods.   The materials selection defined the color palette bounded by some of the client´s requirements, such as the use of neutral and light colors as the basis of a setting that must be ready to be transformed infinitely. The furniture is made of oak wood selected for its light texture and warm color, we searched for a similar finish for the floor b... More

Departamento TB

Two spaces were intervened in this apartment: the social area and the main bedroom. The main guideline in the project was to separate the social areas without completely closing them. To achieve this goal, ebony wood lattices were designed that also function as furniture that generates storage spaces. Replicating the same language sliding doors were designed, which allow the areas to open and close according to the different activities, ensuring flexible and functional spaces. The materiality approach complements the existing marble floor with warmer finishes such as the wood that was used for covering some walls and part of the furniture. This contrast was harmonized with a color palette based on neutral tones that highlights the selected... More

Sherwin Williams

A compelling thing about this project was the client´s invitation to work again with them in a proposal that will allow to consolidate the task teams -operating from different locations- into the same space that was going to be developed in three stages. It seemed complex, but the correct planning and identity, which we defined as a team in the previous project, laid the groundwork to carry out this new challenge achieving the client´s intended purpose.   Being a company well known for its logo, a world globe covered with paint, the immediate answer might be overusing color and to paint each wall in a different shade and turn the office into a sample book, but we decided not to follow that path. In our experience a worksp... More

Corporativo IC

The offices for this Mexican pharmaceutical company were located in Torre Aleph being the most attractive and strategic point in the south of Mexico City. Its design presents excellent advantages for adjusting corporate spaces by having a services core that releases its two wings giving both floorplans natural light and extraordinary views.   To attain the ideal distribution the reception works as the heart that distributes the circulation towards the two wings. It also has the multipurpose social area that may be used for reunions, training or stage, as well as to contemplate the city.   The council room was located at the center of the space enjoying the best view. To ensure its privacy and acoustics a central corridor was d... More

Revolución

This project was developed in a 600 sq. m area located in San Angel, in the southern area of Mexico City. In this Taller G team designed a 3-level building above the sidewalk that consists in a vertical volume that stands with ease from the avenue.   The main shell is glass, giving transparency and natural light through its 4 sides to the offices inside of the building. The box rising above the street tucking from the two first levels, create an English courtyard that gives access to the visitors. The tucking and different level of its adjoining allow to avoid aggression to the surrounding context opening the views towards San Angel.   On the ground floor the control access lobby and commercial are located, the first level has... Hotel Tatami

This Love Hotel designed by DIN interiorismo´s team took as starting point for the development of the concept the tatami —these traditional Japanese mats that were used to cover the floor of the main rooms— for the purpose of rescuing the close connection that should exist between the space and the person who is going to inhabit it, referring to the sensibility of human beings.   For ambiance we search for the sensuality and eroticism of the drawings in the traditional Japanese books that describe the amatorious arts. The center of the color palette is the signature color red that defines the nation of the rising sun and was combined with mustard shades related to the golds that stand out in the ornaments of temples... Kassel

Kassel is a Mexican furniture brand with a solid market presence in different parts of Mexico City that looked for DIN interiorismo design team to develop the project their flagship store on one of the main avenues of Anzures area, so taking advantage of this privileged location was the main focus.   The concept was defined after analyzing the brand´s offer: home furniture and accessories. Therefore it was decided to start from the famous and simple gabled roof house, that is not part of our country’s idiosyncrasy, but it is a simple element that refers without fear of overstatement to the home.   At the shop entrance we are greeted by a wood partition that continues with a gabled double height plafond emphasizing... Hotel La Venta

One of the most important abilities of interior design is to create a new image for the spaces taking advantage of what you already have injecting an updated productive atmosphere to prolong wedge life. Hotel La Venta needed to leave behind its 80s style taking a quantum leap into the new millennium supported on DIN interiorismo´s experience.    The project´s target revolved around a new spirit joyful and fun so they started to play with its name. It was in its basic definition and synonyms that they found the concepts that marked the guidelines to add into the love hotels family.   The common thread is the uninterrupted exchange of strokes, shapes and colors imprinting dynamism to the walk between the rooms f...
