At 1,100 m in the south of the South Tyrolean Unterland the small village Truden im Naturpark, with its frugal building tradition characterized by plastered punctuated facades and simplicity, is located. It is influenced equally by the neighboring Italian-speaking Val di Fiemme and the German-speaking Unterland. Here, along Sägeweg, in recent decades a relatively densely built single-family housing estate has been developed. monovolume has chosen the path of urban regeneration for its brand new studio. The studio was placed in an older building, that was already used for different purposes in the past, so it is an architectural reuse project. Working with an object that was thought up, conceived by someone else, was the first challenge of the project. The second was facing a structural-distribution context (a single floor - between the basement and the ground floor - separating the existing spaces) that did not satisfy the needs of the new use; finally, natural light: the real Achilles heel of the current condition. noa* was commissioned by IDM Alto Adige to develop the concept for a new trade fair stand to represent the soul of the South Tyrolean region for the "Berlin Travel Festival".    The pavilion aims to convey the idea of authenticity, quality, nature, sustainability, tradition and innovation: essential points for today's travelers and for modern tourism.   A modular pavilion, quick to assemble and dissemble, in order to easily change location, that carries its stories everywhere and allows guests to get a taste of what South Tyrol is like.
