Open-Air Theater
As an open-air theater, the Harbiye Open-Air Theater, which can only be opened during the summer months, serves as an open-air stage for opera, theater, music and dance performing arts. Static reinforcement, movable roof cover, acoustic renovation, sound visual center, theater museum and landscape projects have been made within the scope of the renovation project in order to make the concert organizations continuous and to keep the stage open 365 days of the year regardless of the seasonal conditions.

Acoustic wall panels
From Sightunseen.com:
“Three years ago, Korean graphic designer Dongyoung Lee and Dutch artist Michiel Hilbrink moved to a “woon/werkatelier,” a living and working studio for artists in Amsterdam — not originally built to live and work in — and became greatly inspired by their undefined situation. Their new collaboration, Things of Morel, developed at the intersection of interior decoration, object design and sculpture, and the latest collection, called Sun Fluid, stems from their own experiments with raw materials — raw felted and boiled wool for the center designs and frames made from pine. The strong felted forms, with bonus acoustic qualities, are comprised of large, wavy-edged forms in rich grays, r... More

Mahon Pool
The existing Mahon Pool Amenities building was located on the edge of a spectacular rock shelf overlooking the ocean and Mahon pool. The building itself was a delapidated 1960’s brick box, which was had no relationship with its context and was visually intrusive.
Our proposal sought to create a linear building, which receded into the cliffside landscape. The building shape responds to the rock form folding around the contours and its precaste materiality seeks to become an extension of the rock landform.
A concrete skirt extends from the building and creates a terraced shelf inviting occupation and lounging. The shelf extends into a stair down to the Pool as well as integrating within the broader parkland... More

Ranch House Makeover in Denver
The future meets the best of the past.
What do you call a midcentury remodel that transformed a 1954 bungalow into a three-level 5,100-square-foot modern home? If you’re Sunset magazine, you call it the 2015 Idea House.
“When we chose a 1950s ranch house in Denver to remodel for our 2015 Idea House, the response was passionate and mixed,” says Sunset home editor Joanna Linberg. “Some people said we should leave a good thing alone. Others pointed out that the house, which wasn’t exactly iconic, could use an update. We understand both perspectives.”
The Sunset team tapped Jonas DiCaprio of Design Platform to devise a remodel that “left... More

Sunset Tower
Building on the culture and history of Sunset Boulevard, the new Sunset Tower was formed around views of West Hollywood and the iconic destinations of Los Angeles. These view corridors give the tower definition, and in turn, define the sculptural nature of the tower and its curving floor plates. The design embraces one of L.A.’s most iconic streets to capture the essence of city itself. The Sunset Tower design was inspired by the character of Sunset Boulevard and a history of rock and roll and creative expression. With an undulating façade that opens to the city, the tower reflects the dynamic nature of West Hollywood. Programmed around the city’s metropolitan activity, the mixed-use project builds upon the spirit of surrounding staple... More
