Maguro Sushi’s latest location at One Bangkok marks an evolution for the well-established premium sushi brand. Known for its high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation, Maguro sought to refine its aesthetic to align with its culinary values while embracing a refreshed design language. The interior concept centers around three core principles: understated luxury, culinary theater, and artisan materiality. These ideas are woven into every detail, creating a cohesive space that enhances the dining experience.

Deba Sushi
The culture of the minimum. Project for a "sushi restaurant" in the historic centre of Perugia, where the comparison with the Japanese culture of the minimum and the exaltation of the "wound" has led to highlight the distinctions between pre-existence and addition.

AKA Sushi
Design of a 2,800 sf restaurant expansion in Jackson, MI. The corian counter folds to bench seating as a continuous band connecting the entry to dining. Likewise, the whitewashed pine wall slips past the dining room to the kitchen entrance. Both moments work to connect spaces through the effort of the white band. The pine wall wrap is bound in contrast by dark tile flooring and an acoustically treated ceiling. The sushi kitchen and bar are carved out of the white band, framing the active kitchen as a dining experience.
