Kitchen Transition

NanaWall Systems has created an innovative way for homeowners to enjoy the benefits and beauty of an outdoor kitchen, without the pricey redundancy—the NanaWall Kitchen Transition transforms an indoor kitchen into an indoor and outdoor kitchen, by making the wall which separates it from the backyard vanish and reappear with ease. The NanaWall Kitchen Transition is a combination of the company’s folding or sliding glass windows, which replace traditional windows over a kitchen countertop, and floor-to-ceiling walls, which replace a wall or a typical sliding-glass door. The two meet seamlessly, creating a high-style look, enhancing and expanding a living space.“The NanaWall Kitchen Transition is the ultimate window-door combination that opens... More

FoldFlat

NanaWall Systems introduces the industry-first FoldFlat®, which allows glass wall panels to fold and then pivot all the way back to stack out of the way, parallel to the opening. Useful for patios, decks and balconies where space is a premium, the FoldFlat eliminates the issue of the panels sticking out into the outdoor space. “Standard folding glass walls protrude onto the deck or patio because they can only stop halfway at 90 degrees,” said NanaWall Systems CEO Ebrahim Nana. "With NanaWall FoldFlat, we have invented a solution for builders and homeowners to gain back that living space by folding the panels a full 180 degrees, entirely against the wall.” Available in both aluminum and wood-framed options, the NanaWall FoldFla... The desire of builders and homeowners to bring the outdoors in, yet keep the bears out, can now be resolved with the NanaWall BEARricade™. It’s a folding glass wall that opens wide to erase indoor/outdoor boundaries when the coast is clear, yet provides unequalled security and defense from bears when closed. “Bears learn how to enter homes by simply using their immense strength and weight to push open French doors, windows, and even pushing in or breaking the glass on typica... Park City Residence

A house presented Otto Walker Architects with dramatic views and a choice site. Using a mix of raw timbers and chunky, native stones, Otto developed a concept that responded to the client’s specific wishes.“The materials are intrinsic to the area, and it’s still a bit of an Alpine feel that just seems to make sense there,” says Otto. “The client wanted lots of views, and indoor/outdoor living was also a component. Everybody wants to do some cooking outdoors.”In this case, the use of an opening glass wall was “kind of a program requirement,” says the architect. “The owners definitely wanted a large opening in that location – it was a deck.” Otto / Walker specified the highly weather-resistant NanaWall WA67, a thermally broken, aluminum foldi...
