BOULIMIE THEATER
"Boulimie" was originally the title of the official cabaret show at the 1964 Swiss National Exhibition. It later gave its name to the venue where it was created. The venue became a permanent fixture on the Lausanne scene, and from 1965 onwards offered a program that gave pride of place to humor in all its forms. It thus became a theatre, and its productions gradually toured Switzerland and the French-speaking world.

Located on the ground floor of a condominium building, the apartment to be converted had the charm of the 1970s, but also its drawbacks, with few generous bathrooms and a circu- lation made up of lobbies and corridors that consumed a lot of floor space.

The faceted design of a new residential building responds to its surroundings
In Stans, Switzerland, Zürich-based Bob Gysin Partner (BGP) has completed the new Mettenweg residential building. A place for “people with special care and care needs, regardless of age,” this new edifice replaces the historic Mettenweg home — with its outdated infrastructure, the original home was no longer able to hold a care permit. The building’s faceted construction is designed to integrate the residence with the neighboring buildings and nature, while at the same time defining its own unique presence.

LE VAUD POLYVALENT HALL
Le Vaud’s new community hall is a multipurpose public infrastructure designed to serve and bring together the entire village community. Hosting sports activities, shows and community events, it supplements existing school facilities while opening up new possibilities for the village and its surrounding communities. The hall’s entrance is sited very appropriately on the road connecting the village church and the school entrance. A forecourt of exposed concrete marks the venue’s entrance, a connecting link bordered by the sports field, the church cemetery and the existing school yard. With this base line as its anchor, the building’s transparent structure follows the downward slope of the terrain. To the north, the ridges of the Ju... More
