Fire retardant ThermoWood® Ayous
With Lemahieu Fire Protection®, we offer the ability to treat wood and ThermoWood® products by vacuum pressure, fire retardant with the fire retardant, Burnblock®.
ThermoWood® ayous from LDCwood has durability class 1 and we can provide fire retardant treatment to the desired reaction to fire class, up to B-s1,d0, in accordance with European standard EN13501.

Large windows across the entire façade alternate with the warm colour of ThermoWood® ayous from LDCwood. In order to achieve the required reaction to fire classification, the ThermoWood® was given a fire-retardant treatment by Lemahieu Fire Protection with Burnblock® .

LDCwood ThermoWood ayous
Although similar as facade cladding to ThermoWood® fraké, ThermoWood® ayous has a slightly less irregular, more rustic character. You could say that fraké takes on a more ‘historic’, natural look thanks to the black streaks and pinholes while ayous has more of a modern look-and-feel. Ayous has a Janka hardness of 430 and would be closest compared to clear Western Red Cedar for appearance, density and workability
