CATHouse
La CATHouse is the result of the transformation of an old duplex in the St-Henri neighborhood, built around 1885. The idea of creating an expansion that would highlight this former working-class building emerged from a meeting with a local craftsman trained in the arts in France. Specializing in the restoration of cornices, friezes, entablatures, and other metal ornaments of old Montreal buildings, this craftsman was able to impart his expertise in the design of a contemporary extension.

Residence CEDAR
The semi‐detached urban residence built in 1910 on the slopes of Mount Royal, near the city center, was acquired in 2020 by the current owners. The residence had to be renovated given its age, the lack of maintenance and the state of degradation of several elements. The building had been the subject of several more or less interesting and successful interventions by the previous owners. Nevertheless, several original elements were still present and needed to be highlighted. It should be noted that the original building had undergone an extension in 1920 designed by the Montreal architectural firm Ross and Macdonald.

Pontiac Residence (The metal ridge house)
Résidence Pontiac is located in the dense residential landscape of Plateau Mont-Royal, a few steps from the bustle of rue Saint-Denis and rue Mont-Royal. A sector that has in its essence the pleasure of living in the city.

Rue Pontiac is a small, narrow street, mainly made up of duplexes, whose cramped lots and the density of the built environment invite both a social life, but also the introversion of a personal and family life. The project therefore aimed to respectfully maintain the close link between private, personal and interior life with the exterior excitement of the extraordinary neighborhood life of this little haven of the Plateau Mont-Royal.
