SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE

The work for Granada School of Architecture was selected for the FAD Architecture Awards 2016 ULMA Architectural Solutions has supplied drainage channels to the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Granada. The new school was previously the Military Hospital, located in the Realejo district close to the Alhambra. The architect was Victor López Cotelo, and the work was selected for the FAD Architecture Awards 2016. The drainage channels installed in the outside sections of the school are the UK system. This system can be used with grilles up to load class C250, suitable for areas crossed by traffic, such as light vehicle car parks and residential complexes. Manila Complex

ULMA Architectural Solutions has supplied slab faces and polymer concrete copings for the renovation of the Manila Complex The façades of the buildings in the Manila Residential Complex in Laredo have been renovated. The buildings needed renovating due to the deterioration of the slab faces built using brick-on-edge, where the bricks have become detached mainly due to water entering from the terraces. The water seeped through the point where the terrace meets the sill, and as the area is not waterproofed, the edge of the slab was soaked with water, the reinforcements became oxidised and the bricks detached. SPORTS RANGE FOR SPORTING DE GIJÓN FOOTBALL STADIUM

We have supplied the SU100, a drainage channel with special characteristics for football pitches. ULMA polymer concrete drainage channels have been supplied for the football stadium facilities and school of the Sporting de Gijón sports club. The sport system, a range of channels and accessories created especially for sports infrastructures has been selected. More specifically, 700ml of SU100.18R channel have been installed with ribbed galvanised grating GN100UCA. HOTEL VELA

ULMA Architectural Solutions has installed its polymer concrete drainage channels in the area outside Hotel “W Barcelona” Hotel “W Barcelona”, also known as Hotel Vela (Sail Hotel) thanks to the particular shape of the building, was constructed in 2009, having been designed by the architect Ricardo Bofill. It is a five-star hotel in a privileged location south of Barcelona port, close to the city, and is highly visible from the coastline. It has 473 rooms distributed over 26 floors, whilst its silver glass facade reaches 100 metres high, scaled down from the 168 metres originally projected. 24 Social Housing Units in Santurtzi

The building is located in a neighbourhood in the outskirts of Santurtzi, in a predominantly industrial area which is currently being transformed, on a plot sharply sloping toward the Bilbao estuary. Given the predominant NW-SE longitudinal orientation of the plot and its 12.10m bay, the homes have a double orientation, choosing NE for the bedrooms, providing sun early in the morning, and SW for living rooms and kitchens.
