Agrotopia project responds to a growing need and desire for urban agriculture research and production

LANDPROCESS unveil Asia’s largest organic rooftop farm

By repurposing 236,806 square feet of waste rooftop space, Thammasat University (Thailand) introduces as adaptive climate solution with Asia’s largest organic rooftop farm. Called the Thammasat University Rooftop Farm (TURF), the project integrates the contemporary landscape architecture of LANDPROCESS with the traditional farming ingenuity of traditional rice terraces. A device for the reactivation of the unused part of the city. Urban agriculture is a practice that always coexisted within the city and its historical development. In recent times, this practice revamped as a form of engagement of urban communities in local food production. However, contemporary urban agriculture has to deal with new phenomena that historically did not compromise the quality and the health of the food produced in the city: the air pollution.
