The intervention aims to three main goals: the development of attractivity for all the categories of users (from the children to the eldest), the increase of comfort (for a livable square in all the seasons of the year and in all the hours of the day) and the enhancement of memory, constituted by the existing heritage (Casa del Fascio by Giuseppe Terragni and Antonio Carminati, Villa Magatti and Villa Mussi), disappeared (as the circular fountain, moved in Piazza IV novembre in 2006, and the Church of Saint Peter, demol... Exchange Square
Exchange Square, designed by DSDHA, is a refurbishment of a major 1.5-acre public park above the tracks of Liverpool Street Station in London. Our terrazzo was supplied throughout, including water features, amphitheatre steps, paving and planter edges with complex 3D pieces. The challenge for In Opera was to provide over 3000 pieces, 90% of which were unique and many having to fit into each other perfectly. The 1.5-acre park will see a four-fold increase in the amount of planting and dramatically enhance biodiversity, with 25% of the area featuring green space that is accessible to all. Quadrupling the amount of green space at Broadgate, the aim is to boost the emotional and physical well-being of those that work at Broadgate and the local... More

Glass Pavilion, Nob Hill Hotel
This classical revival building was built in 1909. Many alterations have transpired but the architectural harmony is still consistent as a whole. The new glass pavilion will integrate the classical legacy with 21st century architecture. Situated within the existing courtyard, the glass pavilion will accommodate a complex program of events and offer a unique experience to its occupants. The design simplicity represented a technical and economic solution to overcome problems of bridging long span, heating, ventilation, light and shade.
The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation were used as a reference guide for historic structure. Transfer Development Right, “TDR” was re-calculated to make room for this project.
