Autodesk Boston Workspace
Located in a former Army storehouse, this workspace is an expansion to the adjacent flagship meeting and event center (MEC) designed by the same team. Achieving efficiency without monotony, the parti of the project is an archipelago of elements among the open plan “sea” of desks.
Each of the archipelago’s “islands” is designed to allow natural light to penetrate the entire space. “Solid” programs, such as meeting rooms and support spaces, are arranged in bars along the cross axis, creating nearly uninterrupted views between the building’s parallel north and south facade window walls. Eversource Station 99
Utile has served as an architectural consultant for local utility company Eversource at a number of sites around the Greater Boston Area, including Downtown, the Seaport, South Boston, East Boston, and Everett. Station 99, located within the Raymond Flynn Marine Park, is built to accommodate increased demand in the rapidly expanding Seaport District. Utile was tasked with creating an enclosure design that responded both to the functional needs of the client and the aesthetic concerns of the Boston Planning and Development Agency.
