Jughma Cafe - AlQatt AlAsiri Interior Design
The Jughma Café – Al-Qatt Al-Asiri Interior design in Dammam, Saudi Arabia designed by CAS creates an architectural space which is responsive to the local culture and values. It is no longer a static space enclosed by four walls, but a dynamic outlet for the rich history and stories behind the lives of the locals. Grand ceiling art inspired by Rajput Paintings
Client : Ravi Mehra's Delhi Hotel, Kilpauk, Chennai
Year : 2017-18
We were approached by the interior designers for Ravi Mehra's Delhi Hotel, Kilpauk-Chennai to create an original artwork for the ceiling. The client is a fine dine restaurant specialising in gourmet cuisine from the northern part of India. As such, the idea was to portray a spirit of celebration and festivity that could blend in with the aesthetic that was chosen for the rest of the interiors. The style chosen was a fusion of the Rajput miniature paintings -the Ragamala style and the Mughal painting style with modern illustration techniques. Public Cafe
This is one of our renovation projects. The first time we came into the pub it was dark, smelled of cigarette smoke and had a very pub-like feel to it. The task was to create a bright cafe with green and gold pallette. We reused a lot of the furniture from the pub, did a lot of wall paintings and this is what turned out!
