The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw can boast of the new headquarters of the Faculty of Media Art. Lighthouse Port Praski

The investment area is located in the Praga Polnoc, at the border of two separate urban fabrics – dense, historical, continuous street development of Old Praga and comb-like arrangement of residential tower blocks along Vistula River. The Monument of Kosciuszkowcow is adjacent to the south of the project site.The main idea of the project is to create a dominant on the "gateway" to the Port Praski. The Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies (CEZAMAT) is one of the largest investments in Poland in the field of high-tech research and development. PARK ON THE BALATON LAKE

EUROPEAN PRIZE FOR URBAN PUBLIC SPACE 2012 / NOMINATION Goclaw is the largest apartment block complex, built in Warsaw between 1975 and 1990. It is currently inhabited by more than fifty thousand people. In recent years neglected urban area in the central part of the complex was designated for the recreational park. The area was what remained of an old construction site with piles of garbage and concrete waste. The rubble surrounded an artificial water reservoir. It was ironically called “Balaton” by the local residents, as the Balaton lake in Hungary once was an popular holiday destination in Poland. In 2012, Poland and Ukraine will be hosting the UEFA European Football Championship. For the occasion, a new national stadium will be built in Warsaw on the existing but crumbling rubble-built Dziesieciolecia Stadium abandoned for sports uses in 1988. The stadium is in Skaryszewski Park east of the city center on the bank of the Vistula, and will form the heart of a new sports park. The construction of the stadium is divided systematically into two. The stand consists of prefabricated concrete parts. Above this is a steel wire net roof with a textile membrane hung on freestanding steel supports with inclined tie rods. Warsaw Metro Second Line (M2)

The second line of the Warszawa metro opened on March 8.The 6·5 km east-west route links Rondo Daszyńskiego and Warszawa Wileńska with seven stations and includes an 870 m tunnel under the Wisła River. Line 2 intersects with the north-south Line 1 at Świętokryzska, and interchanges are also provided with main line rail services at Stadion Narodowy and Wileńska. The end-to-end journey time is around 10 min, and services run every 3 min. The construction contract was signed in October 2009 by a consortium of Astaldi, Gülermak and Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Dróg i Mostów, which created the special purpose company AGP Metro.
