AGUA - Private House
AGUA is a private residence conceived as a sequence of pure volumes, controlled perspectives and changing light conditions.
The entrance is deliberately concealed from the street and reached through a long, narrow passage protected by a large masonry screen. The path gradually reveals the house and culminates in a large glazed entrance.

The defining element of the project is the rooftop swimming pool, positioned on the second floor and characterized by an intense red bottom. Water becomes an architectural material, reflecting light onto the surrounding surfaces and illuminating the entrance passage below.

Asiat-Darse Bridge
Leading architect Sumayya Vally, Principal of the Johannesburg/London-based studio Counterspace, has won the competition to design the new Asiat-Darse pedestrian bridge in Vilvoorde, Belgium.
Counterspace’s response to the brief uncovered the story and legacy of Paul Panda Farnana, one of the most important, yet least acknowledged figures of the city, who epitomises the region’s complex relationships with past and future generations of migrant bodies and communities.
