They wanted for it to be inextricably bound to its city of origin - Wrocław - and to participate in this endeavor they invited mode:lina™ studio architects.

The neighbor-like proximity of Wrocław Główny rail station became the inspiration to invite that space into CodeLab offices. Concordia Design Wrocław - bar and terrace
Wyspa Słodowa is quite unique spot on Wroclaw’s plan. For years it has been a centre of various events organized, independently, with help of local visual artists and musicians. Concordia Design building, conjured by the brilliant minds of MVRDV only fleshes out that uniqueness.
To arrange one of the most demanding parts of the building - void (the undercut), the Investor asked for help none other than mode:lina™ designers.
Our prime goal was to keep the idea of architecture’s complete immersion, while at the same time leaving enough space for comfy, intimate spaces for various meetings, informal gatherings and work - Paweł Garus, architect and co-owner in mode:lina™.

MVRDV transforms 19th century Polish building into transparent coworking hotspot
MVRDV renovated a 19th century heritage building in Wrocław, Poland, and added an extension respectful of the existing building by continuing the same roofline and facade rhythm. The 4500 m2 coworking hotspot includes an event venue, a food hall, a café, and a rooftop terrace.

The entrances on each end of the building have a triple-height stepped void. The old building is interpreted as the formal side and the newly added extension as the informal side. Both sides have a triple-height stepped void at the entrance.

"What qualities should an intimate residential building of the 21st century have?" - this question was asked by the Wrocław studio Q2Studio, which aimed to reinterpret the form of a traditional urban villa. The final project, which will be built on the Nowe Żerniki housing estate, will refer to the most important elements of the old style. A simple, compact body immersed in the surrounding greenery, sculpted loggias and terraces, enriched with a minimalist detail, is to meet the expectations of the most demanding customers.Wisualization: BLOK studio More

"Building of The Karol Szymanowski Comprehensive Music School was located in the compact frontage of one the most representative streets of Wroclaw: J. Pilsudskiego Street. The object is intended for the education of school children in the age of primary and secondary school. Due to the wide functional program, the school building fills the whole plot of the investment with its compact body. National Forum of Music (NFM) in Wroclaw

The NFM building was designed by Kuryłowicz & Associates Architecture Studio, selected through an international architectural contest. The architect was inspired by a musical instrument – its shape and the façade covering imitating timber resemble the body of a string instrument. The foyer, covered with black and white Corian, brings to mind the piano keyboard.
