Terrace Tower

On the eastern side of Amsterdam's Zuidas district is Terrace Tower: an iconic building designed with the ambition of radically greening the typical stone office district and making it liveable. DELVA's terrace landscape has an integral role in the architecture of BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group.  Sebastian van Damme Lush greenery on the terraces dramatically increases the well-being and productivity of employees. The positioning of the terraces provides that all outdoor areas are directly connected to each other, making the abundance of greenery visible from every point on the terraces and enabling much more interaction between colleagues. The Pulse

With the start of the construction of De Puls, the first urban forest at height in Amsterdam is welcomed to the Zuidas. De Puls is a high-quality, circular building, a place where people can live, learn, work and relax in comfort. De Puls is completely self-sufficient and is an icon for liveability and sustainability. In 'Lot 4' the tower ‘Xavier’ and two ‘urban villas’ form a U-shaped block with an opening oriented to the south. This setup results at ground level in a relatively small-scale appearance. The buildings designed by KENK architects consists of 160 apartments, of which the layout and interior finish can partly be determi... Cushman

Cushman & Wakefield expanded its Dutch headquarters in Amsterdam. In addition to the 1st and 2nd floor they also acquired the 19th and 20th floor of the UN Studio on the Zuidas in Amsterdam. As we previously designed the first two floors we were now invited to create a contemporary interior for the two top floors. Starting point was -where possible- maintain and reuse the existing lay out and materials so all floors breathe the same Cushman & Wakefield sphere. The 20th floor is labeled as a social hotspot, a multifunctional work-café. Thé place where people meet for lunch, have a coffee, gather for meetings and have their Friday afternoon drinks. It is the same floor where Cushman & Wakefield welcomes her customers. The specially... More

Crossover Kop Zuidas

Crossover is mixed-use to the max: this building seamlessly blends high-end offices with affordable youth housing. The challenge was to unify diverse functions and people from varied backgrounds into a dynamic, sustainable space. The outcome is a versatile building that's energy-neutral, circular, green, healthy, and socially inclusive. Ossip van Duivenbode Crossover's design includes dynamic building volumes, green rooftop terraces, and a distinctive brick façade. The structure responds to its surroundings: soundproof facing the highway; office towers along Europaboulevard; and a welcoming vibe on the residential side. Yet, it remains a cohesive entity due to the unifying façade design, featuring a robust grid adorned w... More
