Designed as a space that evokes the sense of the universe beyond, Light Years is a local Melbourne eatery that subtlety references both the environment and experience of the inter-planetary universe. The space was conceptualised not as a café, but as a space for respite from everyday life. The ‘other–worldliness’ of the interior environment encourages a connection, but also a sense of letting go. Makan

Makan is the futuristic effortlessness that is contemporary South-East Asia.Stripped back to basics, layered textures and tones sit in contrast with a neon backdrop intentionally playing with the concept of age-old tradition hurtling towards a digital future.This space is about experimenting with and celebrating the senses.The site is a traditional lobby tenancy in the big end of town. Rather than acknowledge the adjacent corporate space, the design turns its back and customers are forced to pull open the large perforated metal door to enter the space beyond. Act of Wine

Reflecting both the natural product and sustainable ethos behind the outlet, Act of Wine looks to terroir as the source of design inspiration (and of all good things).  The space is almost hewn from the ground, monastic in its simplicity and yet welcoming; waiting for the good times to begin.   Act of Wine is a natural wine store, housing both natural and biodynamic/organic wines from both Australia and internationally with a focus on small, sustainable producers.
