Approach - 2Michaels LLC creates fresh, elegant, comfortable and timeless homes that reflect each client’s distinct personality and life history. We strive for an environment that is unique, layered and most importantly personal. Budgets are adhered to with an emphasis on quality and value. Each project is handled professionally and completed in a timely manner. We understand that designing one's home can be overwhelming. Our approach is to make the process enjoyable and fun. We encourage an atmosphere of shared ideas and interests - whether it’s art, literature, film, music, fashion or even comedy.
Process - We thoroughly research each home, which have included lofts, prewar co-op’s, post war modern condominiums and houses around the country and abroad. We study the history and the parameters of the environs we’re developing. Spaces are measured, floor plans, elevations and 3D imaging are created to clearly define and communicate our vision. The selection of furnishings is done with a complete understanding of our clients needs with an emphasis on each project being special. Our passion for furniture, fabrics, antiques and art is enhanced by years of experience. Over time we’ve gathered a team of collaborators who help implement our projects seamlessly. Each architect, general contractor, wood worker, craftsperson, upholsterer and curtain maker is skilled, trustworthy and dependable.
Lives - Our love for architecture and design started in Palm Springs, California and developed in Milan, Italy where we were exposed to such geniuses as Franco Albini, Carlo Scarpa and Gio Ponti. We moved to New York City as young adults and earned degrees in Interior Design from F.I.T..
Jayne - And her husband, divide their time between the city and their home in Springs, East Hampton, where she has recently set up a satellite office for 2Michaels.
