Felt For Architecture

‘Felt For Architecture’ is a collaboration between Claudio Varone, architect, and Anneke Copier, felt artist. ‘Felt For Architecture’ is a collection of handmade three-dimensional carpets and wall hangings based on the concept of Claudio Varone. The material Felt is a natural material made of 100% wool. In our designs it is combined with silk, flax, cotton and other materials. It is a material which has the fire-proof characteristics of the wool and, in our design thanks to its three-dimensional character, sound absorbing, yet giving a warm feel to both customer and onlooker. The design All objects in the collection are unique and handmade in our workshop, where we make use of traditional techniques, thus respecting both man and the environment. We can provide a specific design or customise an existing design from our collection, changing the sizes, colours and material to meet our customers’ wishes. The works can be made in the form of panels, tapestry, upholstery, as a work of art for walls, floors or in the space. The maximum size of a piece is about 3mt x 1.5mt.. For bigger sizes, more pieces can be assembled and combined together. Our work is particularly suitable for lobbies and meeting rooms, as well as hotels, shops and homes.
