JGCH Architecture

JGCH is a design and architecture studio based in NYC. We are interested in the physical and allegorical game of architecture. Our work is colorful and playful, ranging in type and scale from drawings to buildings, from installations to visual art projects. Javier Galindo, principal of JGCH, was born in Havana, Cuba. Galindo is the recipient of the 2015 Rome Prize in Architecture from the American Academy in Rome, the winner of the prestigious KPF Travelling Fellowship and several competition awards. Galindo has previously worked as an Associate Principal and Senior Designer at Kohn Pedersen Fox in NYC. His professional experience include the design of several large-scale national and international urban projects, ranging from super-tall high-rises to mixed-use masterplans. Other professional work included time at Oppenheim Architecture Office in Miami and McCall Design Group in San Francisco. He received a Masters of Architecture from Cornell University, where he was the recipient of the Best Thesis Prize, and a Bachelors of Architecture from Florida International University in Miami.
