ALT Architectuur

ALT Architectuur

ALT architecture (formerly architettura 97-07) realized since 1997 a series of buildings with attention to all aspects that lead to a layered and high quality architecture. It concerns the urban design and historical meanings, the plan design, the detail, the interior, etc. An important element in her approach to every new project is the vision on context. Context is an essential concept for the development of a project. Just understanding and sensing the layering and complexity of the context leads again and again to its own architectural language. Context is environment, history, program, client, budget, etc. It is a necessary language for every project in its specific context. This elementary approach forms the basis of every design of ALT architecture. It guarantees a fundamentally sustainable approach that translates into every facet of a project (use, energy, material, knowledge of light, detail, construction, etc.). Sustainability is therefore more a consequence of this approach and not a starting point. ALT architecture always aspires to find the right architectural language for every new challenge. It is a language that wants to intrigue and gives a special light to context and program. ALT architecture commits itself to communicate this language clearly to the client and the user. The acquisition of this common language allows a precise and appreciative communication that strengthens the project at all levels. ALT architecture is a compact and efficient desk equipped with all necessary up-to-date software and instruments. For stability studies, the firm has already used the expertise of Studiebureau Riessauw bvba, part of the SDKE group and arch. Arthur De Roover for several years. For technical studies, the firm has already been using the expertise of Studiebureau De Klerck bvba for several years, part of the SDKE group (www.sdke.be). It results in close, substantive and efficient cooperation with a view to optimizing the study results (closely connecting structure and architecture, focusing energy issues, ...) and making the study process more efficient. ALT architecture has worked together with visual artists in the past, including Koen Broucke (www.atelierbroucke.com) and Jean-François Van Mullem. For landscape design, there is collaboration with Fris in the Landscape vof and Katinka t'Kindt.
